Genevieve Jurvetson
Genevieve is a philanthropic leader dedicated to advancing transformative breakthroughs in mental health. She leads giving for The Jurvetson Foundation, which supports ambitious, “moonshot” initiatives to address the mental health crisis. She serves as Chair of the Psychedelic Science Funders Collaborative Founders Circle, sits on its Board of Directors, and is a board member of End Chronic Disease.
Before transitioning to philanthropy, Genevieve co-founded Fetcher, an AI-powered recruiting platform, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer. Previously, she led marketing at Apartment List, one of the fastest-growing online rental marketplaces in the U.S., and spent eight years in investment banking and investment management, most recently at Goldman Sachs.
Genevieve graduated with Highest Honors from Georgia Tech and earned her MBA from MIT. She lives in Nevada with her husband, Steve, and their three young children.
Steve Jurvetson
Steve Jurvetson is a venture capitalist who has led early investments in several industry-redefining companies, representing $800 billion of aggregate value creation. He has served on the board of directors of Planet, SpaceX and Tesla. Before co-founding Future Ventures and Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ), Steve was an R&D Engineer at Hewlett-Packard and worked at Apple, NeXT and Bain & Company.
He completed his undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree at Stanford in 2.5 years, graduating #1 in his class, and went on to earn a MSEE and MBA from Stanford. Steve has been honored as one of "Tech's Best Venture Investors" by Forbes, and as the “Venture Capitalist of the Year” by Deloitte.
